About me

There’s only one way I can start and that is to say that I love what I do – and I hope my passion shows through in my photos. Not many people get to live their dream so I consider myself one of the lucky few.
It started nine years ago and to this day I am still grateful I am able to keep doing what I love

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is “Are all weddings the same?” The simple answer is no. The dynamics change from so many external things like wedding venues, lighting and weather to intricacies like the pressures of the day, the bridal couple and their guests – each with their unique personas and ways of dealing with being in front of a camera and their special day. For me my job is to orchestrate these various aspects seamlessly creating beautifully framed moments in a natural and spontaneous photo journalistic style. I do my best to blend in, so to speak, and allow the moments to happen organically during your special day.

Photography is one of my passions. Another is being a father to three beautiful and amazing kids that have taught me and continue to teach me so much about life. I feel so incredibly blessed to have them in my life and to have the flexibility through my job to watch them grow.

My other passion is trail running. A friend introduced me to it a couple of years ago and since then I haven’t looked back. I love being able to go for a run around Table Mountain; pushing my body to the limit while I train for the next race and be able to clear my head. It affords me the chance to enjoy something else that is very dear to me – the outdoors.

Dear to me; this brings me to my other great love; my beautiful Lisa. Her love and support is the backbone of my life and allows me to enjoy the adventures my life takes me on. She has even been my assistant at a number of weddings. Her energy is inspiring and I love her dearly.

Please enjoy browsing the site and viewing the pictures from my recent weddings.

I look forward to meeting you and capturing your day in a way that transports you back in time; from feeling the way the sun danced on your skin to how the butterflies started to fly in unison the moment you saw her in her gorgeous dress; see him standing at the alter waiting for you.
